The charm of spring - summer - automn - winter
Because of the mild climate in the
southwest of France, the Lot-et-Garonne is the ideal department to stay/ reside/
holiday. The large amount of sun hours allows the temperature to be very
agreeable from April until October. Because of the occasional shower in spring
the surroundings are rich in colour and very green. Every season has its own
charm and attracts, for various reasons, different kinds of campers to our
campsite.
Below you’ll find the uniqueness of each season.
May and June
Everything
grows and flourishes and new life begins in the countryside. The sunflowers in the
fields start to bloom, fruit trees on the campsite blossom and there is
tranquility……lots of tranquility. The combination of peace and quiet, the
agreeable temperature and the flowering of nature attracts mainly nature lovers
in this period to our campsite. During the day explore the surroundings or try
fishing on our campsite and in the evenings join us at our long dinner tables
and enjoy the view of a breathtaking sunset with an authentic meal.
During these months there is no regular set activity programme at the campsite,
but we’re more than happy to give you information about the activities nearby.
In the morning you can enjoy breakfast from our extensive buffet. The swimming pool
is at your disposal.
July and August
The school holidays have
started, the days are long and the sun shines on average 9 hours a day. Children
enjoy themselves at the swimming pool, the animal farm and around the lake.
Every other day there are activities for the young ones to attend. Building
wooden huts/ cabins or rafts, painting or making Chinese lanterns.
For both the active and passive sports enthusiast the campsite is at this time
of year a real El Dorado. Watch together the Tour the France or arrange a game
of petanque, soccer, volleyball or tennis.
At this time of year we have weekly performances in the evening of a known or
less known band.
September
This time of year is in many respects
comparative to May and June. The temperature is agreeable and the sun
shines abundantly. Slowly the season is proceeding into automn. The surroundings
change into a fantastic display of colours. This is the ideal time to visit in peace
and quiet the many markets, chateaux and wine estates where the grape harvest
has started.
Of course you’re more than welcome to join us at our long dinner tables and
enjoy an authentic meal.
During this season we don’t have an arranged activity programme, but we’re more
than happy to provide you with information about the activities in the region.
The swimming pool, off-course, is open.
